Do you want to dress up and go all out for Halloween this year, but you’re either broke, lazy, extremely busy or all of the above? Well, here are a few Halloween makeup ideas that you can create with makeup everyone already has in their collections:
1. Cat
This is hilariously obvious, but if you have any black eyeliner (pencil is my personal preference!) you can automatically make yourself into a fantastic feline. Simply draw three lines on each cheek and a heart on the tip of your nose, and you’re good to go! If you’re feeling up to it, I find a cheeky ‘cat-eye’ eyeliner is a great and ‘pun-y’ addition to your look!
Pro tip: The best place to start your whiskers is a pinkie finger width away from your nose; make the stroke quick so that you get a nice tapered effect! Also, don’t forget to fill in that nose heart. Want whiter teeth into the bargain see a Makeover your smile?
2. Skull
Black eyeliner comes to the rescue yet again, although it also helps if you have black eyeshadow and a very light shade of foundation (or white face paint, if you really want to go all out, although I find this unnecessary). Draw a circle with the eyeliner around your eye area—including your eyebrows, too—and fill in the circles with the black eyeliner/shadow.
Pro tip: If you’re using foundation, make sure you apply it on top of your lips—using the black eyeliner again—and simply line your lips normally. Next, add vertical stripes across your lips to create creepy teeth.
3. Vampire
Once again, the trusty black eyeliner features, although this time, it’s not the main focus. A dramatic smokey eye helps with this look, but the star of the show is a blood-red lipstick. Apply it to your lips as usual, but get it messy by dragging some down from the corners, creating a bloody effect.
And there you go—just a few easy Halloween makeup ideas that you already have in your makeup bag and that don’t break the bank!
